IMSS Guitar Ensemble

The IMSS Guitar ensemble consists of current IMSS guitar teachers and showcases the talents of the group. All the members are tertiary qualified musicians and teachers and perform as soloists, band and ensemble members around Perth and beyond.

The ensemble was formed in 2021 for the gala concert for the 60th anniversary of the Classical Guitar Society of WA (CGSWA). The ensemble were a hit with the audience and loved performing together so much they decided to make it a regular thing. In 2021 the group performed for the UWA Day of Guitar and at the WA Academy of Performing Arts.

This year Covid has prevented the group coming together for many performances so they are excited to bring this performance to the Strings Attached festival.
The ensemble play a diverse and eclectic mix of music from new pieces by WA composers to Gypsy Kings numbers and Baroque favorites. Whatever they’re playing they aim to have fun and share their love of playing and performing on the world’s most popular instrument.
