Paul has enjoyed the challenges of woodworking for decades but only started making string instruments 8 years ago.

He has made ukuleles, dulcimers and weissenborn guitars and has so far completed 49 instruments. He likes experimenting with different tonewoods and bracing systems and has developed unique construction methods to suit his experience and resources.

A few years ago Paul set up an instrument making blog site to share his work and methods and to encourage others to take up this rewarding pursuit.
